In Arkansas divorce, spousal support or alimony may be granted to either spouse in fixed installments for a specific period of time and subject to contingencies such as death of either spouse or remarriage of the receiving spouse. The amount of support must be reasonable based upon the circumstances of the parties and the nature of the case.
