Missouri Child Support


Missouri child support is calculated based upon official guidelines. The amount of child support arrived at under the Missouri guidelines is presumed to be correct unless such an amount is shown to be unjust or inappropriate. A Missouri Court will also consider the following factors in determining child support: 

  • the father's primary responsibility for the support of his child; 

  • the financial resources and needs of the child; 

  • the standard of living the child would have enjoyed if the marriage had not been dissolved; 

  • the physical and emotional conditions and educational needs of the child; and 

  • the financial resources, needs, and obligations of both the non-custodial and the custodial parent.
